Support continues to grow for Wine With Dinner

An independent survey from November 2006 by Decision Resources Ltd. of Minneapolis confirms what consumers have been saying for years — Minnesotans trust grocers to sell wine in grocery stores with other dinner items.

By a margin of more than 2-to-1 (68% to 31%), respondents in this scientific survey said they favored allowing grocery stores in Minnesota to sell wine. Support for Wine With Dinner exceeds 60 percent regardless of political party affiliation, level of income and gender. Sixty-four percent of parents support Wine With Dinner, and residents in both Greater Minnesota and the Twin Cities support the proposal by greater than a 2-to-1 margin. This is the fifth poll conducted in Minnesota since 2000 and together, the polls show a steady increase in support for Wine With Dinner.
